Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Mommity website. It explains what we collect here, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

The Mommity mobile app is a separate product. What the app collects and shares is declared in its data-safety section on its store listing, which you can read before you install it.

1. Who we are

Mommity is a maternal health project based in Bamenda, Cameroon. To reach the people responsible for this policy, use the contact form.

2. What we collect

Visiting a page leaves us a record of the page you opened, the time you opened it, the address your request came from, the browser you used, and the site that linked you here if there was one. This is logged by our own software on our own server. It is how we know which pages are being read.

Joining the waitlist or subscribing to updates means giving us an email address, and a name if you choose to add one. Writing to us through the contact form means giving us a name, an email address and whatever you type into the message box.

We do not ask this website's visitors for health information, a date of birth, a payment card, or anything else we have no use for. Please do not put details of your own health in the contact form.

3. Why we hold it

Traffic records tell us which pages help people, which shapes what we write next. Your email address exists in our system for one reason: to send you the news you asked for about Mommity. A contact-form message is held so someone can reply to it and so we have a record of what was asked.

We do not sell any of it. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to a data broker.

4. Legal basis

Where data protection law requires one, we rely on your consent for emails you signed up to, and on our legitimate interest in running, measuring and improving this website and in answering people who write to us.

5. Third parties

Depending on how this site is configured, some of the following may run on these pages: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the Meta pixel, Microsoft Clarity, and Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form. Each of these sets its own cookies and operates under its own privacy policy. Our cookie policy lists what is in use and how to refuse it.

Email we send you passes through the mail provider configured for this site. Nothing beyond your address and the message itself is shared with them.

6. How long we keep it

Traffic records are deleted automatically after two years. Waitlist and newsletter sign-ups last until you unsubscribe, and every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Contact-form messages are kept while they are still useful as a record of correspondence, and are deleted on request.

7. Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You can leave the mailing list at any moment without asking us at all — the unsubscribe link handles it. Use the contact form for anything else and we will answer within thirty days.

8. Children

This website is written for adults and for the people who care for mothers. We do not knowingly collect anything through it from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and it will be removed.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed password storage, two-factor authentication for admin accounts, and regular security audits. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

This platform was designed and built by Uni B Agency, a digital technology company specialising in secure web application development. All encryption protocols, data transmission standards, and application-level security architecture implemented on this platform comply with Uni B Agency's Web Security & Data Protection Standards — a documented framework governing how client platforms collect, transmit, store, and protect user data. Details of those standards, including our approach to AES-256 data encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, and secure session management, are published on the Uni B Agency Technology Partner page.

A full copy of that statement is kept on this page.

10. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date below changes with it. Small wording fixes will not be announced.
